Snakeweed - Gutierrezia sarothrae, a common weedy ally of the southwest, has a long traditional use for addressing achy joints, arthritis, injuries, and sore muscles in a bath soak. Fresh plant poultices are also often used on injured areas with quick pain relief.
Featured here in a convenient and easy salve for applying to painful swollen inflammed joints, injuries and muscles. One might think of it to address similar conditions as arnica, in a much more common and widespread plant. Warming aromatics stimulate healthy blood flow, address pain, and reduce inflammation. Fresh plant steeped in sesame and sunflower oil, with beeswax.
